Riggin Smith

Riggin Smith is part of Smith Pro Rodeo, "The Greatest Show on Dirt," a PRCA livestock contracting and rodeo production company based in Henderson County, Texas, in the Malakoff and Athens area. The company is led by owner Stace Smith and his son Riggin. Before becoming a contractor, Stace worked as a rodeo contestant, chute boss, and pickup man, and was selected as a pickup man for the 2005 Texas Circuit Finals before building the company into one of the most prolific rodeo production outfits in the country. The company’s headline achievement is being named PRCA Stock Contractor of the Year 11 times, across 11 consecutive years, tying the record held by rodeo legend Harry Vold. Smith Pro Rodeo produces more PRCA rodeos than any other stock contractor in the association, with an operation spanning 7 or more states, 15 separate rodeos, and over 80 performances a year. Notable events they have supplied stock for or produced include Cheyenne Frontier Days, Ogden Pioneer Days, the Tri-State Fair and Rodeo in Amarillo, the Texas Circuit Finals, and the Los Fresnos PRCA Rodeo in South Texas.
